The book of Ecclesiastes talks about seasons. In Chapter 3. There is a season for everything. Not only did it ring true then, it rings true even now. There is a season for everything. A time to be sad and a time to be happy. A time to fail and a time to succeed.
We are almost halfway through 2018 and so much has happened and been achieved (and not achieved) that I thought I would take time to be thankful for the 2018 that has already happened as well as before 2018. I have been taking time to share my thankful list one at a time daily on Instagram.
Being thankful forces me stop and take stock of all the good and bad that has happened in my life and to appreciate how it has affected my life and how it has strengthened or weakened me. It allows me to look back at what worked so I can repeat it again. It allows me to look back at what has not worked so I can improve on it or try to avoid it in the future.
I take time regularly to be thankful so I do not get lost in all that I am doing or is happening around me. I use it to reflect and so far the results have been amazing. One thing I have learnt from creating thankful lists is that there is nothing too big or too small for a thankful list. You could even be thankful for air. After all, we all would surely perish without air.
What are you thankful for today? We are halfway through the month but it is not too late to join me on Instagram for the rest of the month.
